Using the scientifically validated DISC model of communication, this course allows participants to uncover and understand their own unique communication style and how it impacts the people around them.
Through a series of interactive exercises, the team will break down their communication and come to accept their different styles and preferences of communicating and working together. The course focuses on bringing humour to a topic that is sometimes difficult to talk about and open up the communication lines of any team!

Course Outline
Personal Communication Style Assessment - Depending on the size of the group, participants will undergo a communication style assessment through a large group exercise or by way of an electronic survey. Both methods provide a fun and personalized look into individual communication styles.
Understanding Your Communication Style - everyone has their own communication style that impacts how the work and interact with others on a daily basis. By building an awareness of your style, you can start to break the mold and work more easily with individuals of different communication styles.
Opening the Lines of Communication - once you understand your own communication style it's important to understand the styles of those around you - whether on your team or in your office. This can help you understand why you struggle to work with the person across the hall, or why some people may shy away from you.
Developing Team Communication - with a firm understanding of everyone's unique style, teams can then begin to develop a set of common practices that allow them to communicate more effectively with one another and consequently improve their productivity as a group.
